Uttar Pradesh Mathura Map

A Guide to Maps of India

Revered Mathura is, if only as one of the sacred cities in an already holy realm as India. Hindu pilgrims, if anything, never fail to get for themselves any map of Mathura.

After all, this is where the omnipotent Lord Krishna, an avatar of Lord Vishnu, was sired. In his honor are a bevy of temples erected by the most ingenious there is in India.

The city has a twin – Mathura has no demarcations whatsoever from the place called Vrindavan.

The porousness  is justifiable, in that Vrindavan was where Lord Krishna spent a good part of living.

For all the obvious reasons, the attractions of Mathura and Vrindavan are, in the main, the holiest of Hindu temples.

Taking precedence is Krishnajanmabhoomi, built on the very place where Krishna was born. Right in the center of Mathura is Dwarkadish Temple.

On the other hand, Vrindavan hosts many temples prominent in the life of the incarnated Vishnu. Its most popular is the Krishna Balrama Mandir.

While this temple is relatively new, Vrindavan’s other temples are more olden.  The Radha Madana-Mohana Temple is the first to be built in Vrindavan.

Another antiquated edifice is the Kesi ghata temple. But a more exemplary structure of grandiosity is the Jaipur Temple

Visitors must come to Mathura at the height of Holi, when people throw colored powdered dye and water on each other.
