Another temple to be in is the revered Meenakshi at Madurai, which represents the apogee of Dravidian architecture, what with its numerous gopurams.
Then the untamed beauty of Tamil Nadu opens to the hilt in the longest beach in the world, Marina Beach. For all of 13 kilometers of sandy stretch from Madras to seemingly beyond the very fringes of the world.
