Sikkim is worth the journey, if only because it has the third highest peak in the world, Mt. Kanchendzonga. With a good district map of Sikkim, one should be able to locate this great destination, which lies lofty, at the rooftop of the world.
Only a realm as this is home to glaciers aplenty. Here one can lay their eyes on one of the last frontiers of the world, be it at the glaciers of Zemu, Rathong, and Lona.
Even so, Sikkim is not all about lunar landscapes. In fact, the state has a bounty of flowering plants, including 600 species of orchids. In between them are exotic animals like the Himalayan black bear, red panda, blue sheep, and the Tibetan wild ass.
There is a profuse of wildlife sanctuaries to wander about, to include the Kyongnosla Alpine Sanctuary, Shingbha Rhododendron Sanctuary, Meanam Wildlife Sanctuary, Fambong La Wildlife sanctuary, and Varsey Rhododendron Sanctuary.
