At the heart of the city is Masunda Lake, the most beautiful by far for being eternally limpid. Also known as Talao Pali, the lake offers boating and water scooter facilities. The pious has something to bow down because right next to it is the quaint St. John the Baptist Church, which has aged over a hundred years.
When in Thane, one should not forget to come to Tikuji ni wadi, a popular destination for picnicking families. Known for its watersports amenities, the area is a fab place to be. But then again, Suraj Water Park has watersports written all over it.
Once all that waterborne fun goes stale, it is a wise one to trek at Yeoor hills, which surrounds Sanjay Gandhi National Park. Otherwise, Hakone is a sprawling entertainment and amusement complex.
