Indeed, the land is studded with hill stations, picturesque beaches, impregnable forts, and tranquil temples and caves carved by humans.
At the top of the pedestal is Maharashtra’s dazzling 720-km coastline that stretches from Dahanu to Goa in the south. What bear wonderful before our eyes are the beaches that have gone on to achieve global fame, like Juhu Beach, Tarkali Beach, Marve, Minori and Gorai Beach.
With a trusty district map of Maharashtra, our eyes rolled some more and noticed that as much as Maharashtra’s waters are deep, its hills are high. Nestled on their apexes are bustling communities basking in a salubrious climate. The hills are alive in Mahabaleshwar, Lonavala- Khandala, Bhandardara, Panchgani and Matheran.
