Apparently, Karnataka has exhibited exponential growth with its foray into the IT industry, on top of its traditional industries in the production of coffee, sandalwood, spices, and silk.
Many come in particular to the capital, Bangalore. As the Silicon Valley of India, Bangalore is the hi-tech center of India's software industry.
True to its being a Garden City, Bangalore is the site of the famous Lalbagh Gardens, aside from recognizable landmarks such as the Vidhana Soudha, Tipu Sultan palace and the Bull Temple.
However, the cultural heart of Karnataka beats in somewhere else far older. The city of Mysore, as it is called, was the capital of the Wodeyar Maharajas. Of its many beautiful buildings, the Mysore Palace is the one masterpiece, alongside other opulent edifices like the Jagmohan Palace. |
