Convergence
Uttar Pradesh is a place where there is a unique convergence of many
cultures. The land of Uttar Pradesh is synonymous throughout the world
as it is the home to the celebrated Taj Mahal. This historical building
was constructed by the Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan, the son of Jahangir
and the grandson of Akbar.
The Taj Mahal was
built to symbolize the love of Shah Jahan for his wife, Mumtaz Mahal.
Apart from the Taj Mahal, there are other places to visit in Uttar
Pradesh. The state always welcomes tourists with a shower of warm
welcome and courtesy.
Attractions
Uttar Pradesh has many famous attractions and attract huge crowd. Some
of the significant attractions are Agra the land of historical
significance. Many architecture forms such as Taj Mahal, Sheesh Mahal,
Nagina Masjid, Jahangir Palace, Khas Mahal, Chini-Ka- Rauza,
Diwan-e-khas, Moti Masjid, and many more. The religion is deep rooted
and even today the traces exist.
Varanasi is a place
that has Hindus and Buddhists. The Ganges River flows and popular Hindu
temples offer prayer to Ganges. The Sarnath in Varanasi is the first
sermon of Lord Buddha. Tourists can view the palaces of Nawabs and
traditional crafts.
Allahabad is also a
largest and a holy city. The rivers Ganga and Yamuna confluence is
situated here. The Kumbh Mela is a popular fair and attracts devotees
form all the parts of the country. The Patalpuri Temple, Allahabad
fort, Akshaya Vat and Ashoka pillar are tourist attractions.
The Varanasi Ghats
that are popular are Dashashwmedha Ghat, ASI Ghat, Man Mandir Ghat,
Chauki Ghat, Scindia Ghat and Manikarnika Ghat. Dudhwa National Park is
a tiger reserve and is rich in flora and fauna. It houses endangered
animals and some popular tourist attractions are Jhansi, Chitrakoot,
Vrindavan, Kanpur and Mathura.
