Travel to Punjab
Punjab is one of wealthiest state in India. It is on the boundary of India and Pakistan. Punjab is state, whose name is identical with lot of excitement, wealth and you will find people with lot of power and passion for the life. The word Punjab means, “Panj Aab” means there are five rivers, and it is heart of the country.

Punjab has many beautiful places located in the state. You will find the rivers flowing everywhere, in Punjab. Therefore, Punjab is blessed with the fertile land.

Agriculture is main occupation of the people leaving in Punjab. It is beautiful state, if you travel through road lines then, you will find on the highways, side by side rivers flowing everywhere in the state.

There are huge canals built in the state for the farmers, which has lots and lots of water in it.

There are different rivers flowing in the state. They are Sutlej, Beas, Ghaggar as well as Ravi. However, Punjab has faced lot of destruction during partition time. Punjab is wealthiest state in the country. The main occupation and source of earning is through agriculture, everywhere in Punjab.

The one year capita returns of Punjab are double of the all over in India on an average. Well, eighty four percent of land is under farming in Punjab. There are many different places to visit in Punjab: the major cities in Punjab are: Ludhiana, Amritsar, Chandigarh, Patiala.

The first place is Amritsar:
Amritsar is main place for the people following Sikh religion. It is holy place for Sikhs. Amritsar located on the Asian highway. The city got name as Amritsar, because of the pool, which was built by the forth number of the Sikh community preceptor.

Well, Amritsar is the city, where jaliyan-wala-bagh took place. In jaliyan-wala-bagh incident, British slaughtered number of innocent Indian people, which included small children, women, men, and old people as well. This was one of the most memorable incidents, which took place, while struggling for the freedom of the country.

The next place is Patiala:
Patiala is famous all around, for its good and healthy food, affectionate people, exciting Patiala peg as well as jootis, amazing parandaas. There has beautiful palace called Moti Bagh palace and some other places as well, which will give you idea about the state in past. Patiala is place well managed and easily reachable.

Next is Chandigarh:
Chandigarh is beautiful city and is capital place of Punjab. You will find Chandigarh modern city, which is still present under nature’s protection.
