Himachal Pradesh Manali Map

A Guide to Maps of India

Cherished even at mere mention, the town of Manali is the parting gift of Kullu Valley to its visitors.  As one exits the valley, coming at close range with the town is inevitable.  Looking at a map of Manali, the sylvan place is located near the valley’s end on the National Highway towards Leh.

Err one leaves, one should have seen stirring spectacles of pine and deodar trees, of the Beas River coursing through a town at the foot of snow-swathed peaks.

A favorite holiday resort, Manali is profuse with meadows and fruit orchards.  With these in mind, no one should wonder then that Manali is esteemed as the Switzerland of India.

Indubitably, the crowd-drawer of Manali will always be the Hadimba Temple. Also called the Dhoongri Temple, the structure, erected in 1533, is the site of a huge festival every May.

However, Manu Rishi, said to be the creator of the human race, supposedly favors the Manu Temple located in old Manali.

Glaciers and infinite snow await everybody at Solang Valley. It is known as Manali’s skiing mecca, with accommodations to boot.

Panoramic mountain views are also here, ones so old the distant ancestors beheld them. They are seen from the timeless Rohtang pass, the historical portal to Lahaul Spiti, Pangi and Leh valley.

Beautiful as its sweeping views are, there is yet another picture=perfect scenery available at Kothi. The plethora of films shot here could not be wrong.
