Himachal Pradesh Kullu Map

Superlative as this geological eye candy is, Kullu could only be the legendary Silver Valley of India. After all, this is the crossroads of valleys at the Himalayan feet.

Ere, many people have ascribed it as “Kulanthpitha”, meaning the end of the habitable world. In this view, Kullu is the last frontier before the celestial heights of the Himalayas set in.

A Guide to Maps of India

As such, Kullu is inhabited by mirthful people, as seen during the Dussehra festival for which the valley is famous.

Only such a beautiful place could foster a reverence like no other.  The result is the Raghunathji Temple, erected by Raja Jagat Singh of Kulu to atone for his sins.

On the other hand, the Bijli Mahadev Temple of Kullu is renowned far and wide for a 20-meter high rod that draws lightning on occasion.

Somewhere in the valley one comes across the 1,400-year old town called Naggar, which hosts a stone-and-wood castle.

It was once the capital of Kullu region, but Jagatsukh is the most ancient, home to an ancient chalet-roofed temple dedicated to the goddess Sandhya Devi.

If anything, Kullu holds its own with a barrage of options for adventure sports and trekking. Trek routes cover every difficulty, such as that of the Chanderkhani Pass to Malana.

In its most natural, Kullu always is a wonder to behold. Once one gets the gist, buying a map of Kullu should follow.
