Such is one is built in the middle of the lake, which have caught the fancy of the tourists from near and afar, which should be armed a reliable map of Jamnagar.
While in Jamnagar, the marvel belongs to these two magnificent old structures, the Lakhota Fort and the Kotha Bastion – sitting magnificently in the middle of the lake.
Come we enter into Lakhota Fort where housed the Jamnagar's Museum featuring, in its grand terraces, a display the finest collection of sculptures spanning a period from the 9th to 18th century.
Interesting enough, we cannot help but try drawing water from this strange old well – by blowing into a small hole in the floor. This one you should explore in the Kotha Bastion, known as Jamnagar's arsenal. |
And it is fascinating to know that there is an imitation of the Victoria Memorial Building of Calcutta, the Pratap Vilas Palace. Only, and gladly, the carvings adorning the domes, columns and balconies of the structure are uniquely of Indian mythological art such as creepers, leaves, flowers, animals and birds.
