A Guide to Maps of India

Knowing that Gandhinagar is India’s second planned city in India -- after Chandigarh, don’t we all like to see how the city reportedly sports a “spacious, well-organized look of an architecturally integrated city?”

Yes, with a map of Gandhinagar in our hands, we can all go check what’s fascinating about being Ganghinagar, which is also the new capital city of Gujarat.  Now, something is really interesting coming up.

Because there really is magnificence in the well-laid-out complex of buildings highlighted by the Vithalbhai Patel Bhavan, a lavish dome sitting majestically on a high podium in the centre of a circular lake.  Gandhinagar is living up, indeed.

Don’t we forget to tag the kids because the Children's Park with a mini train and a manmade lake with water recreation facilities will make one’s kid’s day unforgettable.

And we know for a fact that the famed Swaminarayan temple is built here, in Akshardam. Oh, and have we known that the Swaminarayan is the richest sect in the world we could be snooping further.

But we can only revel at the sight of an intricately carved, majestic monument of 6,000 tons of pink sand stone surrounded by verdant gardens and stunning fountains.

Here, the spiritual stillness can bring a chill feel, and then awe-inspiring.  It’s what Gandhinagar has been doing to its visitors for quite some time now.
