In the tourist map of Delhi, it is evident that the city is a travel hub of Northern India comprised of two distinct yet equally remarkable places, the Old Delhi and New Delhi.
Dotted with mosques, monuments and forts, old Delhi is a trod into the glorious Mughal past. The frenzy crowd, day in and day out, fills the intricate walkways.
People are muttering and jostling past vibrant bazaars stocked to the brim with an assortment of cheap goods and items.
With prominent displays of British Raj architecture, New Delhi on the other side is imposing majestic.
The streets, zoned and spacious, are beautifully lined with trees and manicured shrubs. The buildings tall and commanding – all the charm there is to it. |
Highly urbanized, all is not lost in Delhi and even has prospered to become the most vibrant creative art center in India. Performing arts and cultural explorations are flourishing in Mandi House and Bhagwan Das Road, and at the Habitat World at Lodhi Road as well as Siri Fort at Khel Gaon.
