Bihar Hazaribagh Map

A Guide to Maps of India

Knowing that the city of Hazaribagh literally means ‘a thousand gardens’ we stop and think awhile, and right on search for more: What’s left of the flowers and foliage in the Hazaribagh backyard?

This the awesome sight today: At 2019 feet above sea, Hazaribagh is lofty it in the midst of a dense tropical forests and grass meadows with abundant flora and fauna.  The countryside is undulated with occasional interruptions of steep hills, perfecting the landscape.

An updated map of Hazaribagh would tell that the city is one of the favorite health resort destinations in India today.   Indeed, with charming attractions in the background combined with an excellent climate make a trip to Hazaribagh truly a blissful experience.

To actually feel the place is not complete without a visit to Hazaribagh Wildlife Sanctuary, beautifully nestled in the low mountainous terrain.

Here, the the tigers, panthers, wild bears, Sambhar, Nilgai, Chital and Kakar kick up their heels at water holes.  Imagine us standing at masonry towers viewing the wilds with the crimson dusk enveloping in the horizon.

There is a sense of wild abandon in Hazaribagh.  That we knew when chanced upon the three small, limpid lakes, in Canary Hills.  On top of the hill the view of the town is…bliss.
