A Guide to Maps of India

“Incredible India!” does not say much without the mention of beautiful state of Assam, the gateway to the northeastern part of India.

There is not much of impressive urban sprawl here, only verdant green land of rolling plains and dense forests and immaculate blue hills.

The Assam landscape is draped by undulating tea gardens, found on both sides of the lengthy highway.

This kind of sight can be eternal, but never a dull journey as many travelers have described the experience as “enjoyably mesmerizing.”

To some, there is a certain pleasure that nature can give through these welcoming tea gardens -- one that invites a soul to run free.

And Assam is passionate about their crop -- it wafts in the air. In various parts of the state, The Assam Tea Festival is celebrated with events fit for the avid tea drinkers.

A glossy rail map of Assam pictures an extensive, convenient Indian Railways network that runs through out the state, matched by the stretch of the mighty Brahmaputra River that takes its majestic course through Assam.

And where nature is evergreen and pure, wildlife subsists naturally in reserves like Manas Tiger Reserve, Nameri National Park, Rajiv Gandhi National Park and Kaziranga National Park.  The latter draws the more curious crowd for being home to the armored one-horned Indian Rhinoceros.
