Where they can ramble, rivers belong to Assam. In fact, the state is home to one of the world's largest rivers, the Brahmaputra. 

Owing to the mighty river and its tributaries flowing through the state, water sports are a favorite pastime. And so, we need not ask how to spend time in Assam – we hold to our map of Assam because we can have them pleasantly, anytime.

The adventurers can opt for the intense rapids in Manas, Jia Bhoroli and Kapili and go for white water rafting along the river wild with the picturesque terrains and serene countryside beckoning in the background. Also here angling is a popular recreation.  Jia Bhoroli has the exciting fierce game fish, the Golden Mahseer.

In places like Hajo, Saulkuchi, Barpeta, Guwahati people are agog about Boat Racing just like the way Kerala does their snake-boat racing.

Meanwhile, families can laze in a camper’s ideal getaway, the Eco Camp situated at the fringes of the Nameri National Park.
