Andhra Pradesh Tourist Map

The taste, feel and sound of different faiths Muslim, Buddhist and Hindu create a blend of culture that is distinctively Andhra Pradesh. The state stands mighty on the high Deccan plateau – for all the right reasons.

After all, here lies the holiest of holy places of 'Indian worship -- the temple of Lord Venkatweshwara situated at the base of the Tirumala hills.

A Guide to Maps of India

One, even a non-Hindu, may naively find drawn to the faithful line and be among the audience called darshan, with their lord – and will find it a compelling experience. If the symphony of religions is not fascinating enough, tourists keen on finding a fascinating culture should think again.

Prominent in the tourist map of Andhra Pradesh is the capital of Hyderabad.

Here lies the Char Minar, Mecca Masjd Mosque, Safdar Gunj Museum, Salar Jung Museum, Golconda Forts, Qutb Shahi Tombs, Nehru Zoological Park and the Hussain Sagar Lake.

When in Vishakapatnam, the flock of tourists are hauled to a rocky promontory jutting out into the harbor called the ‘Dolphin's Nose’.

Even more intriguing is Nagarjunakonda, a site where Buddhist ruins have been found from the waters of the dam, at Nagarjunasagar.

Mysticism is all over Andhra Pradesh, and it is nowhere more palpable and true than in Prasantha Nilayam Ashram of Lord Sri Sathya Sai Baba at Puttaparthi, called the Abode of Highest Peace.  We can only bow at the thought.
